Land IQ is seeking a Geospatial Analyst in its Sacramento, California office. The successful candidate will be responsible for working with our team, which is comprised of remote sensingGIS experts, developers, and a range of agronomic, environmental, and ecosystem disciplines. Applicants must have strong fundamentals in developing high-quality geospatial solutions and analysis, including desktop and web applications focused around the ESRI suite of software. The Geospatial Analyst will be expected to develop and edit geospatial data, conduct spatial analysis, developdocument geospatial data and processes, developreview geospatial or tabular data to meet Land IQ data standards, and mentor interns. This position requires significant hands-on experience with the ESRI GIS software, including ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online. A strong knowledge of GIS concepts, spatial data management, IT, networking, and systems design and management is required. The applicant must also have excellent communication skills and a demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and perform work on time and within budget resources. General knowledge of the natural resourceearth science field is a plus. In-Office Position Location: Sacramento, CAHiring Timeframe: ImmediateEmployment Type: Full time, including benefitsSalary: $74,000 - $88,000 depending on experiencePrimary Responsibilities: Work in a team environment on a wide range of projects, supporting our team of scientists, remote sensing analysts, and other science-based disciplines. Develop unique spatial solutions to address a wide range of complex agriculture and environmental challenges. Utilize knowledge of hardware, software, and application life cycles to deliver high-quality products, tools, and software enhancements in accordance with best practices. Be organized and methodical with communication and documentation capabilities. Develop and refine existing applications, geospatial analysis protocols, and spatial and statistical modeling applications to help solve complex environmental and agricultural resource problems. Applicant must have the ability to make analysis protocols actionable through scripting andor other programming capabilities.After initial establishment in role, lead the training of new interns, including the development and maintenance of training materials.Required Qualifications:Education: B.S. or M.S.M.A. in Geographic Information Systems, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Geography, or related field.Years of Experience: 1-5Required Technical Capabilities:Strong knowledge of ESRI's desktop software (ArcGIS Pro and ArcMap)Experience managing GIS data workflows and data collection methodsExperience with multiuser GIS systems, databases, and environmentsProficient in Python with knowledge in packages such as ArcPy, GeoPandas, Pandas, and RasterioAbility to modify, write and maintain scripts, routines and menus for programming GIS processes and applications Experience with standard and advanced spatial analysis tasksgeoprocessingExperience with raster imagery products and basic raster analysisExperience designing meaningful maps and supporting the development of web applications via ArcGIS Online - Experience BuilderConduct database design and management, including methods of managing data privacyPrepare a variety of maps, illustrations and other graphic presentations depending on projectclient needsAbility to answer questions and guide entry-level staff through basic tasksPreferred Additional Qualifications:Applied GIS experience within natural scienceengineering fieldsExperience leading small meetings and working groupsUnderstanding of remote sensing analysis Knowledge of agronomic practicesProficient in relational database environments including SQL Server, MS Access, PostgreSQLSpatialstatistical modeling and statistics knowledge Professional Approach:Positiveenthusiastic attitude, passionate about professional pursuits, strong organizational, communication and writing skills, personable, ability and desire to learn, and attention to detail, strong moral and ethical personal standards.
