Process EngineerAdden Energy is developing solid-state batteries for automotive and consumer applications and is located in the Boston Area. Our technology is based on leading research from Harvard University and our team is backed by prominent venture capital investors.We are looking for a Process Engineer to join our growing technical team and work to scale our technology. As a key member of our team, you will make a substantial impact on the company's future and set the stage for how we build batteries for years to come as we work to make a positive impact on climate change. What you get to do:Develop and scale up battery material mixing & coating processes including tooling, equipment, and inspection methods for solid-state battery componentsPerform mixing & coating of solid-state battery components and develop standard of proceduresOperate mixer, coater, and other battery fabrication equipmentMaintain laboratory environment standards and essential laboratory equipmentCoordinate and execute equipment maintenance per manufacturer's guidelines What you bring to this role:Bachelor's degree in mechanical or chemical engineering or related field3+ years of hands-on experience in pilot scale slurry mixing and roll-to-roll coating battery materials to fabricate electrodes and battery cell componentsA desire to hold your own in a fast-moving environment alongside highly technical peersAbility to work safely and in compliance with all regulations and quality systemsExperience with process scale-up is preferredExperience with ceramic solid electrolytes is preferredWe are happy to offer our team members:Competitive salary versus leading employers in industry, commensurate with experienceMedical, dental, and vision insuranceGenerous employee stock optionsThree weeks paid time offU.S. Visa Sponsorship possibleAdden Energy is interested in working with every qualified candidate regardless of current U.S. work authorization, and would consider sponsoring visas.
