JOB DESCRIPTIONOur client, a leader in the global automotive processing industry, is seeking a HR Generalist for a terminal location in Baltimore, MD. In this position, the ideal candidate will own the site Payroll and Human Resources processes. As the face of Human Resources, the HR Generalist will build strong, partnering relationships with leadership while balancing employee advocacy, and support employees at all levels at this location, including union employees.This is a full-time, onsite position, with occasional overtime required.Responsibilities:Compile and process weekly payroll data and review for accuracy, collaborating with local leadership and corporate Payroll as requiredMaintainupdate employee data in HRISCoordinate recruiting processOnboard new hiresActively participate and be the first line contact for all site HR, benefit, and wellness activities (such as new hire eligibility, open enrollment, life events, and general questions)Reconcile temporary workforce payrollbillingCoordinate Workers Compensation claims and reporting in a timely mannerCollaborate with local leadership to ensure HR is taking a proactive approach and fostering strong, trustworthy relationships with leadership and employeesEnsure compliance with company policies and procedures and legal responsibilitiesParticipate in Corporate HR projectsRequirements:High School Diploma or equivalent is requiredAssociate degree or bachelor's degree preferred5+ years of experience working in Human Resources5+ years' experience with Payroll; strong experience processing payroll required3 years' experience processing payroll with UKG is preferredCurrent SHRM-CP or PHR or willingness to obtainStrong interpersonal and communication skillsExcellent organizational skillsStrong Microsoft Office skills, including excellent Excel skillsPrevious experience working with union employees, including processing union employees' payroll, is preferredMust be able to obtain TWIC badge (Transportation Working Identification Credential).
