Seafreight Import SupervisorLocation: Charlotte, NC We are recruiting on behalf of a leading global logistics company with over 150 years of experience in the freight forwarding industry. Our client is renowned for their commitment to customer satisfaction, employee development, and sustainable impact in the logistics sector. This is a full-time and permanent opportunity, targeting a base salary of between $65-75,000year. This is a hybrid role, with 3 days onsite in Charlotte, NC. Position Overview:As the Seafreight Import Supervisor, you will lead a dedicated team in managing import operations, ensuring compliance, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction. You'll be responsible for monitoring productivity, driving revenue growth, and delivering high-quality service to internal and external stakeholders.Key Responsibilities:Supervise communication between the company, carriers, vendors, and customers regarding shipment inquiries, delays, and status updates.Oversee team operations to ensure compliance with service agreements and invoicing accuracy.Identify and resolve issues related to profitability, and work with your team to implement corrective measures.Collaborate with internal departments to forecast client volume and ensure capacity planning.Conduct team meetings, manage performance reviews, and ensure proper staffing levels.Act as a subject matter expert on seafreight products, providing guidance to internal and external teams.Address accounts payablereceivable issues and escalate vendor performance concerns as needed.Qualifications:Associate's Degree or equivalent experience; High School Diploma or GED required.At least 5 years of experience in seafreight imports; supervisory or team lead experience preferred.Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Office, world geography, shipping documentation, and Incoterms.Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.This is a fantastic opportunity to join a leading logistics organization and make a tangible impact.
