EHS Supervisor Job DescriptionEHS supervisor communicates processes, procedures and instruction for our team members that ensures compliance with local, state, and federal regulations governing environmental, safety, and health issues. They will work closely with the site EHS Manager to review, identify gaps, and improve overall facility compliance to Environment Health and Safety regulations.EHS Supervisor Duties & ResponsibilitiesStay current and ensure compliance with Federal and State Regulations and the record-keeping requirements for eachWork with leadership team to complete an annual evaluation of compliance for relevant EHS regulationsTrain employees in OSHA requirements for safety and in the environmental aspects of their jobs to comply with EPA requirementsSupport in the facilitation of Safety Training in compliance with training requirementsMaintain overall site training matrix to ensure non-EHS site requirements are tracked and completed to scheduleFoster team member communication and work togetherAssist in the maintenance the site Safety Management, Learning Management, and SDS Management systemsAssist with the development, implementation, and maintenance of policies necessary to meet continued EHS complianceParticipates in monthly site Safety Committee meetingsCommunicates Safety Training statusAssist with safety incident communicationIssue safety updates & tips to shiftsAssist with annual hearing screening, noise survey, and equipment inventories.Support the leadership team with the Incident and Near Miss ReportingConduct safety audits and inspections.Perform other duties as assigned.EXPERIENCE:Minimum 5 years' experience in a manufacturing-based EHS positionExperience in ISO 14001, OSHA VPP, andor Carolina Star is a plusHave OSHA 30-hour Training or be willing to complete within 30 days of startingHave OSHA 510 Construction Standard Certification or be willing to complete within 30 days of startingEducation:High School diploma (Required)Bachelor's degree in an Environmental, Health, andor Safety field or equivalent experience (Preferred)SKILLS:Must be able to read, understand and analyze technical documents and procedures.Must be able to communicate effectively in verbal, written, electronic, and presentation form.Must be able to deliver safety training and have adaptive training techniques based on audienceMust be knowledgeable and experienced in the use of Microsoft Office ToolsMust be organized (electronic and hard copy).Must demonstrate a logical method of problem solving.Must be self-motivated.Must be willing to work atypical hours during times of need.Must demonstrate leadership skills.Must be able to familiar with and able to navigate various requirements:OSHA (FederalState)DOT EPA (FederalState)NFPAANSI
