Legal Practice Assistant - Los Angeles, CADirect HireThe full-time annualized salary range is $85,000 - $115,000.Candidates will have the following responsibilities:Prepare legal documents such as pleadings, discovery, briefs, petitions, plete state and federal court filings and e-filingsMonitor and maintain attorney(s) case docketsCompose correspondence, reports, memorandaCreate and edit documents, memos, presentations, and spreadsheetsMaintain calendar and contact managementCoordinate domestic and international travel arrangementsTrack, organize, and process expense reports, reimbursements and check requests using Chrome RiverReview and organize documents and electronic filesOpen new clients and matters following New Business Intake procedures and prepare conflict of interest formsAssist lawyers with marketing and business development needsSchedule and organize onsite and offsite meetings, conference, speaking engagements,client proposals, and eventsProvide support and accompany team members during trials, including travel as requiredSuccessful candidates will have the following qualifications:5+ years of experience filing at a state courtBusiness litigation filing experienceExcellent communication, problem-solving, proofreading, and organization skillsAbility to work as a team player with all levels of personnel and clientsCapacity to work in a fast-paced environment with high volume of workflowAdvanced experience with e-filing and e-service in state and federal courtsFundamental knowledge of legal terminology, state and federal court proceduresAdvanced Microsoft Office skills, experience with styles, generating TOAsTOCsFlexibility to work overtime as neededMinimum of 5 years of mid- to large-sized law firm experienceHigh school diploma andor bachelor's degreeCalifornia litigation experience is requiredWe are proud of our remarkably cohesive culture, which now encompasses more than 2,400 lawyers and business professionals in 24 offices worldwide.
