Director, Engineering & MaintenanceFareva is a third-party manufacturing company and one of the world's leading subcontractors in the Industrial, Household, Cosmetics and Pharmaceuticals field.We are currently seeking an experienced Director, Engineering & Maintenance, to join their team in Richmond, VA. Job Description:Reporting to the site General Manager, the incumbent is responsible for all activities related to Process and Packaging Engineering Services, and Facilities Maintenance Operations. This includes all plant physical infrastructures, utilities, maintenance, custodial services, grounds keeping and all management of engineering services. The position is also responsible for Commissioning Services, Computerized Drafting and Design activities and Site Archives. In addition, the incumbent is responsible for the scoping, budgeting, and day-to-day management of all site managed capital projects, as well as to provide the site engineeringmaintenance. Job Responsibilities:Strategic SupportPlan capital expenditures, identify appropriate equipment, and implement cost reduction continuous improvement strategies. Support site strategy through the following activities:Identification of state-of-the-art equipment designed to maximize site OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness)Supports site production by identifying opportunities to improve reliability and efficiency of plant equipment and systems, reducing operating costs through automation and implementing capital improvements to expand capabilitiesDevelops and executes site strategy for equipment control systems and associated softwareReliable Supply of Core UtilitiesEstablish and manage preventive maintenance program for utilities and equipmentMaintenance of equipment and buildings in accordance with cGMPManagement of Site Capital ProjectsSets scope, budget, and schedule for assigned capital projectsInitiates funding requests including business case and appropriate justificationsManages projects from initiation through to successful operation GenerateMaintain Site Master PlanInterfaces with strategic planning to determine business needsIntegrates cGMP requirementsBudgetAsset Accountability:Administers spending budget and labor budgetsDetermines replacement costs for assets administrationOverall maintenance responsibility for all site buildings and facilities. Budgeting and cash flow forecasting responsibility for annual capital program and ongoing multi-year projects. Performance ManagementSets individual objectives and development plansCoaches subordinatesEstablishes department succession plansAssures adherence to company policies, OSHA regulations and proper training of employees Job Requirements:Candidates must have prior manufacturing experienceBS degree in Mechanical; Electrical, Chemical or other engineering disciplines, Advanced degree preferredProfessional Engineer preferred10+ year's previous management experience at Manager level or higher15+ years' experience in the pharmaceutical or related industry with experience in major project management and service managementSignificant Project Management experience requiredExcellent verbal and written communication skills Compensation and Benefits:Compensation is commensurate with experience Comprehensive healthvisiondental insurance, company paid life and accidental death insurance 401(k) plan match of 4.5% with immediate vesting, Generous employee referral program, Paid vacation annually, paid holidays annually, Manufacturing employees also receive company paid work shoes, uniformslab coats and prescription safety eyeglasses.
