Position Purpose:The Director of Sales and Business Development is responsible for driving business growth through strategic planning and development initiatives.Essential Position Functions:Develop and implement strategic plans to expand the company's customer basePrepare complete, clear and concise reports, and other required company paperwork and documentation in a timely mannerMeasure and report results Utilize metrics to Track performance to goals: contacts opportunities quote proposalsto contracted work, sales to goal, and sales by individual and marketsEstablish & Gather sufficient information about the market and individual prospects to target new customers and obtain project work from new customersMeet with qualified prospects, develop trust and rapport, and set the sales process in motionEnsure that an active backlog of opportunities and quotes exists to achieve sales goalsEstablish & Attain a Set of annual sales goals and expectationsIn collaboration with management team develop the annual sales strategy sales planIdentify new business opportunities and partnershipsConduct market research to analyze trends and competitor activitiesLead negotiations with potential clients and partnersCollaborate with the business development team to achieve revenue targetsUtilize CRM software to track and manage customer interactionsManage the overall business development activities. Identify and recommend new market areas to be pursuedRequired Skills:Proven experience in construction business developmentExcellent negotiation and communication skillsAbility to develop and execute strategic plansDemonstrated ability to drive results and meet targetsBachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field, or equivalent experience within the construction industry.5-7 years in the construction industry with a focus on commercial renovation.
