An advanced business and litigation law firm, with offices in Boston, Southern Massachusetts, and Rhode Island, is in search of a Corporate Legal Assistant to join its Boston office. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering administrative support to attorneys and paralegals, undertaking various legal functions under attorney supervision. Key responsibilities include handling administrative and clerical tasks associated with legal proceedings, collaborating with court administrators and judges, as well as law firm clients and staff.Responsibilities:Document Management: Create, edit, and revise legal documents, correspondence, and presentations, including transcribing dictation and formatting materials.File Maintenance: Organize and maintain physical and electronic files by preparing, copying, scanning, and labeling documents in both redwell files and the firm's Document Management System.Time and Billing Support: Accurately enter and proofread time entries for attorneys and paralegals, and manage client billing processes, including preparing and sending invoices and resolving billing issues.Calendar Coordination: Maintain attorney appointment schedules and calendars, coordinating meetings, travel arrangements, and attendance at events and seminars.Administrative Tasks: Handle various administrative duties such as answering phone calls, opening and preparing mail, conducting internet research, and performing other related tasks as assigned.Qualifications:1 to 3+ years of legal assistance experience and an associate degree in legal studies or a related field are required.An understanding of legal language and principles, research methods, court pleadings, and processes.Candidates must have excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as great attention to detail.Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.Benefits:HealthDentalVision InsurancePaid Time Off & Holidays401k
