Job Title: Active directory AdministratorJob Location: Stafford VA 22554 Onsite Requirements:Migrations of existing infrastructure to a newly created domain - on-premises and hybridActive Directory ArchitectingmigrationsMigrating servers, users, security certificates, and domain restructuringJob Description: We are looking for a highly skilled candidate to lead the migration of our existing infrastructure to a newly created domain.This includes migrating servers, users, security certificates, and all critical domain-related data.The successful candidate will have significant hands-on experience in Active Directory migrations, domain restructuring, and managing large-scale migrations in both on-premises and hybrid environments.Key Responsibilities:Plan, design, and execute the full migration of our domain environment, including servers, user accounts, security policies, and certificates.Conduct a thorough assessment of the current domain environment and determine key components for migration.Set up and configure the new domain, ensuring adherence to best practices for security, scalability, and performance.Migrate all users, groups, computers, and security certificates, ensuring no data loss or downtime.Ensure all Active Directory (AD) roles, policies, and trusts are correctly configured in the new domain.Perform DNS, DHCP, and certificate management (PKI) configurations for domain continuity.Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during the migration process.Document the entire migration process, providing a detailed post-migration environment overview.Work with internal IT teams to ensure knowledge transfer and offer support post-migration.Qualifications:Proven experience in Active Directory(AD) migrations and domain services, particularly in large, complex environments.Experience migrating servers, users, groups, computers, share drives, and certificatesto new domains.Hands-on experience with DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and PKI infrastructure, especially in relation to domain migrations.Strong understanding of AD domain trusts, replication, and security configurations.Experience with Windows Server, Azure Active Directory, and Exchange,including hybrid deployments.Ability to reissue and configure certificates(SSLTLS) for domain authentication.Familiarity with server rolessuch as DNS, DHCP, and domain controllers, with the ability to transition these roles smoothly.Strong problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating risks during migration.Excellent documentation skills for capturing processesplans and ensuring clear knowledge transfer to in-house teams.Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively.** 3rd party and subcontract staffing agencies are not eligible for partnership on this position. 3rd party subcontractors need not apply.
