Job Responsibilities Pennoni is seeking a Staff Engineer I for our Transportation Division at their Pittsburgh, PA office. The ideal candidate will be a person who is experienced with and able to complete the following tasks: Perform technical analysis, design, and traffic engineering tasks for a wide range of transportation infrastructure, highway, and land development projects. Lead, develop, assist with, and review traffic impact studies, highway occupancy permits, specifications, signal design and plans, maintenance and protection of traffic and signing plans, PS&E packages, and reports. Communicate and collaborate with design teams and clients. Assist project managers in the development of proposals, scope of works, fee, and cost estimates. Perform additional responsibilities as required by senior leadership and overall business needs. Required Attributes: Required education: Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, MS a plus. Minimum years of work experience: 4-7 The candidate will utilize and should have knowledge of and experience with software packages such as Synchro, Tru-Traffic, Vistro, VISSIM, Petra, HCS, Sidra, HSM, MicroStation, AutoCAD, AutoTURN, and Guidesign. Licenses Required: EIT, PE (or working towards PE) Preferred Attributes: Excellent oral and written communication skills. Team player with the ability to work independently and with others on multiple projects to meet multiple deadlines.
