General Information: James Madison University Occupational Therapy Clinical Education Services (OTCES) is accepting applications on a continual basis for part-time OT positions in our pediatric outpatient therapy clinic. OTCES hires from the Occupational Therapist Pool on an "as needed" basis depending on departmental needs. Applicants of interest will be contacted as positions become available. Schedule may flex from 2 to 29 hours per week, depending on client caseload and applicants' availability. These are part-time wage positions with no benefits that cannot exceed 1,500 hours over the course of a calendar year. Duties and Responsibilities: Duties may include but are not limited to: • Provide direct weekly occupational therapy services, evaluations and consultations. • Assist in supervising fieldwork students. • Assist in completing all required documentation associated with placements (evaluations, progress reports, etc.). Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications: • Licensed as an occupational therapist (OT) or Occupational Therapist Assistant (OT-A) in Virginia • Certified in CPR and First Aid • Ability to respectfully collaborate with students and colleagues • Excellent oral and written communication skills • Highly organized with ability to multitask and self-motivate Additional Considerations: • Experience working with the pediatric population • Experience working in an outpatient pediatric setting • Experience developing and implementing specialized groups for children • Experience with or interest in working with graduate students Additional Posting Information: Review of candidates will begin 11/01/24.
