Position Summary: Responsible for converting work requests to work orders, developing the job plans, and ordering material and equipment to effectively execute routine maintenance work in a safe and economical manner. Primary Duties and Responsibilities (not limited to the following): • Convert approved notifications into work orders. • Identify resources, materials, and additional services and perform on-site field assessments to validate requirements. • Develop accurate work plan or detailed list of job steps, including manpower and material requirements necessary to execute identified work. Schedule a full day work for each maintenance person and review with appropriate personnel as needed. • Verify that work instructions comply with established procedures and standards and coordinate with Procurement to requisition parts, materials, and services. • Create work order packages containing detailed instructions for craftsperson to perform work. • Ensure work orders have been thoroughly planned before issuance for execution and contain, depending on job scope and complexity, requisite elements such as, but not limited to, drawings, schematics, piping and instrumentation diagram (P&ID), Job Safety Analysis, material safety data sheet (MSDS), Management of Change package, work or repair history, material list, permits, hot work preplan, etc. • Ensure materials and resources are available when job is scheduled to commence. • Provide contractor assistance with materials and coordinate needed equipment and permits. • Create Purchase Orders for contracts and everyday repairs. • Develop routine PMs derived from action items and audits on company assets by using the equipment criticality and MTBF's for frequencies. • Work closely with reliability by acquiring the BOM on objects and the setup of new items. Link the objects with the correct minimum spare parts on hand, including stocked parts, non-stocked parts, and rebuildable spares. Ensure accuracy of the equipment BOM's. • Work with vendors on repairs and quotes for PO's. • Relieve the Scheduler when he/she is on vacation. • Follow up on emergency work, such as contacting vendors and purchase orders. • Plan, kit, and coordinate tum-around work with TAR scheduler. • Perform the needed repairs on the existing refinery equipment during turnaround. • Serve as the principal contact and liaison between maintenance, operations, and other supported departments. • Review equipment history for trends and recommended improvements. • Aid supervisor in assurance to avoid bottlenecks and interruptions. • Reduce cost of maintenance while improving service by minimizing downtime and interruptions to operations. Job Qualifications (refers to job, not incumbent): Education: Minimum: High School Diploma required. Associate degree in related field is preferred. Experience: Minimum: 5-7 years journeyman-level maintenance craft experience in oil and gas industry. Other: • Strong computer skills and an industrial maintenance background. • Working knowledge of the use of process flow sheets and P&IDs required. • Reading and math skills are required along with the ability to read and interpret blueprints and produce field sketches. • Ability to multi-task and initiative-taking. • Strong organizational and people skills. • Passion for driving work and organization excellence. • Strong resource scheduling and coordinating skills. • Strong oral & written communication skills. • Ability to work in a collaborative environment.
