Academy of Art University is seeking a Senior Director of Domestic Undergraduate and Graduate Admissions to join our outstanding Admissions Team. The primary responsibility as Senior Director is to ensure quality management of both Graduate and Undergraduate Admissions teams. The Senior Director of Admissions will strategize and execute in training and development of Admissions Managers, Lead Admissions Specialists and Admissions Specialists for both Graduate and Undergraduate Departments. This position offers the opportunity to encourage and lead the Admissions Team to enroll passionate students who are motivated to succeed in their intended program of study as well as focus on new student retention efforts for both onsite and online students. This is a hybrid position and candidates must be able to work in San Francisco as needed. This position offers a rewarding opportunity to work with aspiring artists as well as our esteemed faculty. Responsibilities: Ensure that all Admissions Specialists inspire, motivate, and engage prospective students and families through various communication channels Demonstrate proactive management of assigned Admissions Teams in the areas of compliance, performance, training, and growth Execute the strategic enrollment plan and implement complementary policies to ensure achievement of performance objectives including but not limited to new student enrollments and new student retention Optimize utilization of departmental resources to better organize data and improve department inefficiencies Demonstrate a passion for continuous improvement and implement practices that enhance both the employee and customer service experience Provide ongoing coaching to ensure all Admissions Directors, Managers, Lead Admissions Specialists, and Admissions Specialists are successfully servicing students and developing as employees Demonstrate accurate, current, and comprehensive program and admissions knowledge as well as provide updates to the training team and department on new program rollouts Oversee all aspects of planning for call campaigns, open houses, and training sessions and ensure assigned staff are equipped to successfully execute initiatives as tasked Participate in monthly committees 1-3hrs monthly for each committee to assist with AAU business initiatives and needs Provide recommendations to the Vice President of Admissions to enhance the strategic enrollment plan for the Academy of Art University Strategize enrollment focused initiatives to improve new student start rates as well as new student retention Assist with major event planning and execution Develop, implement, and train on efforts directly impacting new student success via online onboarding and pre-enrollment preparation Ensure all department functions are executed in a manner compliant with departmental and organizational policies and procedures, accreditation requirements as well as state and federal regulations Report compliance-related matters to the Vice President of Admissions, and the Vice President of Compliance and Financial Aid What You Will Bring to the Team: A positive attitude and a personable approach High adaptability and positive engagement with diverse populations Excellent time management and organizational skills Ability to multi-task while also working in a fast-paced environment Ability to collect, analyze, and use performance metrics to ensure work goals of a large team A minimum of three years' College Admissions experience is preferred A Bachelor's degree - is preferred Flexibility to work varying hours between 9 AM - 6 PM or 10 AM -7 PM PST Monday - Friday With some evenings and weekends Benefits: Academy of Art University offers full-time employees health insurance, 401k options, paid vacation based on years of service (15 days' accrual at start), paid holidays, paid sick leave and a commuter benefit program.
