SENIOR LEAD ENGINEER Reporting Structure Reports to the Operations Manager or General Manager Education: BS Engineering Degree - Mechanical Discipline preferred PE License MBA an added plus Experience: - 7-10 years in engineering and design with at least 5 years of experience in project management The role of Senior Lead Engineer involves managing projects within the Engineering Teams to oversee the scope, schedule, and budget. The role requires client interface for technical discussions and occasional site visits. Collaboration with the Business Development Manager or Project Managers to gain new business opportunities is also expected. Additionally, this role involves mentoring junior engineers. - Thorough understanding of industry standards for machinery and installation drawings - AutoCAD proficiency preferred managing projects within the Engineering Teams to oversee the scope, schedule, and budget of the projects. This role will require the client interface for technical discussions and at-time site visits. This role may work with the Business Development Manager or Project Managers to gain new business. This role will mentor junior engineers. Responsibilities Manage projects within the Engineering scope. Supervise, instruct, and mentor junior employees while providing leadership and direction to all members of the Team. Oversee project costs and work with the Operations Manager to effectively keep the projects in budget on time while meeting quality standards. Assist with scope development when needed. Develop estimates for proposals. Skill Sets Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment. Strong technical writing skills. Experience in piping, process, and equipment design in an industrial environment. Experience with processing water and gas systems is a plus. Capable of preparing layout and design of complex piping systems. Plant Layout background preferred. Capable of reading and developing Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID) Knowledge of ASME B31.3 Finite Element Analysis experience is a plus. Thorough understanding of industry standards for machinery and installation drawings. AutoCAD proficiency preferred.
