Job Description The Manufacturing Process Engineering Manager uses their industry knowledge to manage plan, direct and coordinate activities of manufacturing engineer and CAD and BoM teams across the organization. Develop and implement the necessary policies, standards, and procedures to manage and enhance the engineering and drawingBoM building processes. Collaborate with other departments to set and assess priorities across teams to support the sales and manufacturing industrial processes. Support operations and research and development teams in providing solutions to manufacturing and product development challenges. Work with all stakeholders to drive standardization of products and solutions move from design to order and configure to order, to maximize the ability to substitute third-party components with in-house alternatives. Maintain knowledge of new trends, developments, technologies, software and best practices and apply this knowledge to continually improve velocity and accuracy of the manufacturing and CAD and BoM teams. Ensure specified components meet all technical specifications and quality criteria, including for sterilization. Define and execute corrective action plans to resolve issues related to quality, production, equipment, tooling, production controls, and customer requirements. Manage progress of product testing and provide guidance on troubleshooting with prototypes. Ensure compliance with health and safety laws, regulations, and guidelines, including OSHA and EPA requirements. Set project budgets and timelines for completion. Report on and optimize performance metrics KPIs. May provide guidance and oversight in development and execution of plant renovations and expansion, coordinate with outside contractors and vendors. Interview, hire, train, and mentor Engineering staff. Oversee the daily workflow for all direct reports. Provide timely and constructive performance feedback, corrective actions, and performance evaluations. Coordinates with Human Resources Skills Required BA Degree in Engineering or Industrial Mgmt. 5+ yrs of exp in continuous improvement in process, cost, quality and production. 5+ yrs of supervisory exp. Understanding of plant engineering. Proficient in CAD software.
