Job Title: Athletic Director Reports to: Unit Director, Monroe Boys & Girls Club Schedule: M-F, Varies depending on sport season, typically around 9am-5:30pm or 11am-7:30pm JOB SUMMARY Boys & Girls Clubs of Snohomish County is seeking an Athletic Director for our Monroe location. Under the supervision of the Unit Director, the Athletic Director plans, organizes, coordinates, supervises and facilitates youth sports, fitness, and recreation programs. RESPONSIBILITIES Ensure Club athletic programs provide a positive climate for youth development. Develop Club athletic program schedules. Determine Club athletic program participant fees. Organize Club athletic programs registration. Promote Club athletic programs to increase membership and participation. Reserve field & gym times in a cost effective, timely manner. Ensure Club athletic program participant fees are paid, and coordinate refunds as required. Recruit volunteer coaches and paid referees. Establish/follow sports equipment purchasing process. Ensure the health and safety of Club members and staff. Provide behavioral guidance to Club members. Maintain Club gym. Maintain Club fields. Obtain local sponsorships and donations. Ensure athletic program grant requirements are met. Collaborate with other Club Athletic Directors and BGCSC Director of Athletics to help establish organization-wide best practices and stay current with Boys & Girls Clubs of America and Boys & Girls Clubs of Snohomish County requirements. Drive Club van as required. Perform other tasks as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS 2 or more years of experience leading youth sports, fitness, and/or recreation programs. Experience working in a Boys & Girls Club or similar organization preferred. Associate or bachelor's degree in a relevant field preferred. Ability to build and maintain positive relationships. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must be 23 years or older with a clean driving record.
