School Bus Driver

POSITION : School Bus Driver APPLICATION DUE: Ongoing STARTING DATE: TBD QUALIFICATIONS : Bus driver candidates must meet NYSED fingerprinting requirements and hold an NYS Class B CDL with Passenger and School endorsements. Must be able to pass a drug test, a Physical Performance test, and a 19A Physical. DESCRIPTION: Duties include but are not limited to, operating the school bus on a daily run, performing required pre- and post-check of the school bus, keeping the assigned bus clean, filling out daily reports of mileage, defects, incidents, and bus condition, and following proper driving techniques and all vehicle and traffic laws. The exact hours will be discussed during the interview. Drives a school bus on a regular schedule, on an assigned route, or special occasions. Maintains orderly conduct on the bus, including student management. TERMS: According to the terms established by the Agreement between the Superintendent and the Transportation Association.
