Air Liquide Large Industries provides our customers with industrial gas and energy solutions that are vital to their own industrial production. We own and operate over 2,000 miles of industrial gas pipelines in the U.S. supplying mainly oxygen, nitrogen, hydrogen and syngas in large quantities from multiple production sources to major customers in the chemicals, petrochemicals, refining and steel industries. Our pipeline operations and industrial gas production facilities are closely monitored 24/7 within our leading-edge operations control center located in Houston, Texas. Our operations control group monitors over 89,000 data points and assists with product supply and coordination. We are constantly optimizing our supply network to provide high reliability and energy efficiencies allowing Air Liquide to adjust supply needs more quickly and effectively enabling growth to our customers. How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW? Senior Instrumentation Engineer/Specialist Ensure personal accountability for compliance with all Air Liquide Policies, including HS&E, personal conduct, quality and governmental requirements Model safe behavior, enforce safety rules and promote our safety culture Coordinate with Operations and Maintenance to ensure that the scheduling of equipment lock-out and safe work permitting is properly communicated Participate in Turnarounds (TAR) at the Gulf Coast plants, directing and monitoring contract I&E personnel in performing preventive and corrective maintenance. Ensure effective utilization of the TAR standard operating procedure Determine turnaround contractor I&E manpower requirements for timely and cost-effective maintenance work completion Supports the Turnaround (TAR) planning process by assisting planners in development of TAR work order job plans and details Provide suggestions to TAR PMs and job plans which improve accuracy, details or effectiveness Implement QA/QC steps in TAR work orders to ensure zero defect maintenance Participate in TAR planning I&E contractor job walks Prepare and maintain TAR related instrumentation device records, such as calibration logs, I/O lists, etc. Identify and issue corrective work orders during pre-TAR planning to address instrumentation deficiencies. Manage TAR I&E maintenance activities to meet the scope freeze deliverables of work content, budget spend and outage duration Strictly adhere to Field Change Order processes throughout TAR execution and enlist Field Sourcing Services to provide cost-effective procurement of goods and services Communicate TAR status concerns and issues to the Maintenance Center Manager Provide post-TAR I&E support to ensure instruments functions properly through start up and to address any deviations. Complete Maximo (CMMS) I&E work order records by detailing the specific work performed, all labor hours, materials and job plan updates. Provide instrumentation technical assistance and onsite support, as necessary, for unplanned equipment outages Lead open communication among maintenance center, plant and contractor personnel fostering collaboration to avoid misunderstanding and conflict. Share best practices, safety concerns and dialog to advance cooperation and teamwork. Keeps accurate records; diligent in documentation, record retention policies & procedures ____________________ Are you a MATCH? High school diploma or GED required 8+ years experience in plant maintenance and I&E activities Ability to work self-directed and make sound decisions Solution-oriented, with excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills Extensive troubleshooting knowledge of digital and pneumatic instrumentation, including pressure transmitters, temperature transmitters, automatic valve operation and instrument loops Strong working knowledge of technical drawings, such as P&IDs, PFDs, electrical schematics, DCS interlocks and other documentation related to instrumentation and equipment processes Effective communication skills to interface with operations and maintenance personnel, particularly in instrumentation maintenance and troubleshooting Willingness/ability to travel up to 40% of the time to fulfill responsibilities; can travel on short notice Proficiency in the use of G-Suites applications, particularly Gmail, Sheets and Drive Experience in CMMS; ability to learn Maximo and Oracle programs. Must be able to wear required PPE including, hardhat, safety glasses, safety shoes/boots, FRC clothing. Must be able to lift 50lbs. Physical range of motion and ability to climb ladders and work from elevated platforms/surfaces at heights above 50-feet Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to foster teamwork and navigate matrix organizations.
