Short-Term Substitute School Guidance Counselor

Short-Term Elementary School Guidance Counselor at Durham Nockamixon Elementary School - available approximately January 2, 2024 through March 12, 2024. The qualified applicants must have a current PA certification in School Counseling appropriate to the grade levels K-5. Daily rate increases per consecutive days worked: $155/day (days 1 to 10), $185/day (days 11 to 30), and $215/day (days 31 to 59) Responsibilities include working to support the overall wellness of our students, as well as adding value to the programs being delivered in our school. The selected candidate must be student-centered and must be able to demonstrate flexibility, independent-thinking, empathy, and leadership skills. Our school counselor plays an integral role in the development of our students. The selected candidate will bring an understanding of state expectations for this work, as well as innovative ideas and strategies to address the myriad needs of all learners. An understanding of mental health services, and how to effectively access these services is desired.
