Job Summary The Production Maintenance Technician is Responsible for performing a number of plant maintenance tasks to include troubleshooting, repair and basic preventative maintenance work and periodic machine operations. The Production Maintenance Technician is expected to work as part of a team and maintain production and quality by ensuring operation of machinery and mechanical equipment. Additionally, the Production Maintenance Technician maintains continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs. Job Responsibilities • Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines; following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions. • Controls downtime by informing production workers of routine preventive maintenance techniques; monitoring compliance • Troubleshoot simple issues in the workflow and maintenance issues • Perform preventive maintenance (PM) checks and document according to department procedures • Perform frequent quality checks of material (visual checks, AIMS, QMS, etc.) • Ensure accuracy of formulations and measurements • Ensure internal and external specifications are met • Demonstrate ability to operate equipment needed to perform troubleshooting of maintenance issues • Perform equipment and facility repairs as needed • Participate and engage in continuous improvement activities and projects as required • Operate various machinery such as mills, extruders, ovens, etc. safely • Other duties as assigned Job Qualifications and Requirements • Associates Degree preferred, High School diploma required • 1-2 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Excellent organization skills, ability to prioritize demands and multi-task to complete objectives. • Ability to read, understand and follow safety information, operating instructions, blueprints, schematics and procedure manuals.
