About the job Precision Mechanical Assembler 1st Shift Specific work activities will include: • Component installation • Building and assembly of sub-components • Installation of software • Testing tuning and troubleshooting • Installation of slides, spindles, and alignment of slides • Tracing and measuring of mechanical components Skills: • Ability to build, test, troubleshoot, and operate a variety of technical precision machines and associated systems. • Must be able to read and understand technical documentation and prints / specifications and use sophisticated measuring instruments and gauges. • Knowledge of CNC controls, and some basic programming. • Operate various machine and hand tools, including micrometers, verniers, soldering and wire crimping tools. • Skilled using material handling equipment. • Ability to work independently and meet production schedules. • Must have the ability to work collaboratively with other departments to include Engineering and Applications on standard and special system builds. • Stand for extended periods of time, reach with both hands and bend as necessary, frequent lifting up to 40 lbs. Additional Duties: • On occasion will require the participation in training of customers, customer buy-offs, training of field and other personnel. • Occasional field work to include installations, and service work.
