JOB FUNCTION: Work Directly with engineering teams to develop designs of new products and tooling for the Industrial Cleaning Group and Facilities Management Divisions. Design, create, and develop new designs for optimization of employee safety and industry competitiveness. Work closely with production to ensure drawing accuracy, compliance of organizational standards, and best practices of new and redesigned products. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Position will follow all safety rules and regulations. Develop new designs or design improvements (including new equipment, equipment upgrades, tooling, and fixtures) to support operations and facilities. Act as MPW operations, fabrication, and maintenance technical liaison and MPW Customer Service liaison for engineering questions. Act as MPW representative for field service or customer technical support. Create drawings and 3D models for products/tooling. Create drawings to communicate design ideas for applications. Create drawings to demonstrate interface compliance of new concepts to meet customer/branch specifications. Create drawings to communicate design ideas to solve product interface problems to meet customer/branch specifications. Create drawings for tolerance applications and check criteria. Revise drawings for engineering changes or to implement updates or revisions of standards for all products. Issue controlled drawings for production/procurement/sales. Organize project files on network system. Catalog drawings and product data for product reference. Create accurate Bill of Materials for all drawings. Position must review product design for compliance with engineering principles, organization standards, customer contract requirements, and related specifications. ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Travel to field services sites, and customer sites as needed. Minimal Position must be able to interact with customers, sales, field service, and application teams and provide support as needed. QUALIFICATIONS: Associate degree in engineering related field, or relevant drafting experience. Windows proficient (Excel, Power point, Word, etc), 2D and 3D CAD experience, SolidWorks preferred. Electrical drafting experience is a plus. Strong organizational skills and math skills. Understand and use hand measuring instruments.
