Job Type Full-time Description Who we are looking for... We are seeking a Senior Transportation Drainage Engineer who will be responsible for providing planning and design technical oversight, project/task management, and QA/QC on drainage elements of transportation projects. Will oversee engineering assignments requiring application of standard techniques and procedures and will also develop innovative approaches. This individual will lead and conduct analyses to develop alternatives, design options, or recommendations. They will also assist in the preparation of cost estimates and specifications. A Senior Transportation Drainage Engineer will supervise and mentor junior engineers on planning or design projects. The following skills will be required for this position: Lead drainage and water resources planning and design for transportation projects for various cities, counties, and state agencies. Manage production of design calculations, technical reports, permitting, and engineering plans and specifications for design of roadway drainage facilities, storm drains/sewers, and detention facilities. Provide strong and focused support for transportation projects in area of hydrology and hydraulics for roadway drainage and major and minor crossing structures. Oversee analysis and design of urban storm drainage systems (hydrology, hydraulics, and storm water quality). Review hydrologic and hydraulic analyses with computer aided software. Prepare proposals, scopes of work and contract cost estimates. Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering PE License 10+ Years drainage design experience Experience with FDOT transportation design projects Experience with regional, state, and county drainage design criteria and storm water permitting requirements Proficiency with Microstation, GEOPAK, ASAD , GEOPAK Drainage, Hydraflow, XP-SWMM, StormCAD, HECHMS, HEC-RAS, and other drainage analysis software Demonstrated history of completing work on time and within budget Preferred Qualifications: Master's Degree in Civil Engineering Ability and desire to assist with roadway design elements, including alignment and profile development, cross section development, and quantity calculations What you'll need to be successful...
