Collins Companies is seeking to add valued members to our growing team as Field Engineers. Our Corporate Office is in Wilton, New York but this position will be based primarily in Southern New York . Job functions will include but are not limited to: Evaluate and analyze construction plans Review shop drawing submittals Measure and track quantities of work in place Apply knowledge and skills to a wide range of standard and nonstandard situations Solve moderately complex problems Assist with creation of functional project schedules meeting desired deadlines Maintain organized project records Be dedicated to safety and maintaining a healthy work environment Be able to work independently and as part of a team Perform a variety of tasks that may include periodically having to lift heavy objects, stand for extended periods of time, stretch, walk, climb and bend under potentially adverse field conditions and be able to perform visual tasks such as back up spotting and hear and react to back up alarms, per safety protocol Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction management or environmental engineering Knowledge of business concepts and accounting 1-3 years' experience / internships / co-ops in a heavy civil environment Strong work ethic Self-motivated Proficient computer skills Values teamwork & communication Must pass pre-employment drug screen Must have a valid driver's license or reliable transportation to report to work on time Position will require travel Base salary range: Level Range of Pay Range of Pay Southern Tier Field Engineer I $53,600-$90,000 $58,960-$99,000 Field Engineer II $57,600-$96,250 $63,360-$105,875 Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as related work experience, market conditions, education/training, certifications and other credentials, overtime when applicable, as well as applicable knowledge and skills.
