Personalized care together with advanced technology is what it means to be Community Strong Responsibilities: Under the general supervision of the Physician, performs a variety of duties related to scheduling patients for appointments and exams. This includes customer service to patients, and hospital departments. The Senior Scheduler pre-registers all patients and obtains pre-authorization and verifies their insurance. The senior scheduler coordinates with doctors, staff, nurses, patients, and other medical departments while setting up appointments over the phone or in person. Qualifications: High school graduate or equivalent required. Minimum of one year experience as a scheduler and previous professional experience within a medical setting. Strong communications skills (verbal/written) and fluent bilingual competencies (English/Spanish) preferred. Computer experience and knowledge of medical terminology required. Must possess knowledge of radiology exams and procedures as well as working knowledge of health insurance required. Demonstrated proficiency in MS office suite of products.
