We are currently seeking a Maintenance Technician for our Batavia, Illinois facility. This position will be on 2nd shift. Starting rate for this position $30.00 and up and is eligible for shift differential which is an additional $1.50 per hour for hours worked on 2nd shift. Perform preventative maintenance daily to ensure that equipment is safe and up to date. Key Responsibilities: Safety/LOTO Equipment Management Preventative Maintenance Management Interdepartmental Communication/Coordination CMMS Management Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Ability to learn the functionality of plant equipment Strong problem-solving skills Ability to read and understand blueprints Knowledge in electrical, wiring and plumbing Qualifications/Requirements/Skills: Completion of high school or GED equivalency. Five years of maintenance experience is required. Technical school or apprenticeship in a skilled trade is preferred. Welding/fabrication knowledge is preferred. Must be able to lift 55 pounds. Must have industrial electrical knowledge - (480 volt, low volt, control circuit experience). Can properly use power and hand-tools. Ability to read electrical schematics. Ability to work independently with limited supervision. Must be able to thoroughly troubleshoot machine breakdowns and implement corrective actions.
