Job Title: Production Line Lead Pay Rate: $18-$23/hour Location: Plainfield, IN Job Duties: Audit assembly kit to ensure accuracy of the kit. Build First Article and submit for approval by QA and Account Manager when required. Follow Assembly procedures and work instruction as applicable. Maintain process discipline and accurate reporting of data. Evaluate non-conforming materials during and after production. Provide leadership and clear instructions to assembly staff such that they understand their job and the expectations Support Production Supervisor / Operations Manager by evaluating and training production workers. Support Production Supervisor / Operations Manager in monitoring quality and achieving daily production goals. Plan and schedule staffing requirements Set up production line and monitor material flow to ensure maximum efficiency. Minimize rework Operate and set up weight scale. Operate other packaging related equipment like taper, L-sealer, Shrink wrap machine, heat tunnel, auto bagger, impulse sealer, serial scanning systems etc.. Work on production line as necessary. Assist other departments as needed. Promote and maintain quality and safety awareness. Inform the Supervisor of work status, suggestions and, any concerns. Communicate well with peers, superiors, as well as others in the company. Keep the department neat, clean and organized at all times. Follow company policies and safety procedures. Perform daily tasks with considerations of waste minimization, and other environmental considerations Adhere to the environmental policy and be aware of significant environmental impacts related to job Promote understanding and realization regarding Environmental Management System (EMS) and its impact to respective staff Support the Environmental Management System (EMS) implementation as directed by the supervisor Inform the supervisor regarding any accidents or nonconformities that may affect the environment Provide suggestions for improving the EMS to the supervisor and management or by using the suggestion box. Other tasks and special projects as required. Requirements: Minimum of three years of lead experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Provide instructions and leadership to a workforce that is made up of 90% temporary workers. Ability to read and understand assembly instructions, drawings and BOM in English. Communicate clearly and train assembly staff.
