What you will do...: Duties to include, but not limited to:? Provides engineering support of subsystem definition, development, integration, all verification methods, sustainment modeling/simulation, T&E, and AW certification across a wide range of hardware and software systems. Provides advice and assistance with systems engineering, processing, including planning, analysis, configuration management, development, integration, verification and validation, and cost risk. Translates customer requirements into hardware and software specifications. Works with the development and test teams in support of advanced software/hardware efforts. Provides highly technical expertise and guidance in solving complex engineering problems. Preforms in all phases of hardware development, integration/implementation and analysis. Participates in hardware evaluations and develops standards and guidelines for tasks being performed. Develops technical requirements based on operational scenarios, across all phases of system development (including concept exploration, integration, test, and fielding for highly complex systems/subsystems including the generation of Tailored Airworthiness Certification Criteria (TACC) or the modification of such criteria in the Modified Airworthiness Certification Criteria (MACC). Participates in hardware evaluations and assists the Government in developing standards and guidelines for tasking being performed. Supports engineering tasks such as, but not limited to investigations and analysis, trade-off studies, quality evaluations, deficiency reports, and assistance requests. Participates in events such as, but not limited to, TIMs, PDRs, CDRs, PCAs, FCAs, FATs, and CCB/AW. Skills you will need...: Minimum Requirements: ? Must have successfully completed an undergraduate degree with a major in engineering (e.g., electrical, mechanical, aerospace); it is "highly desired but not mandatory" that the degree be obtained from a college or university with an Accreditation Board of Engineering and Technology (ABET) accredited engineering program(s). Degrees in "engineering technology" may be considered if the candidate has a minimum of three years of experience in an Air Force or other DoD Branch program office. (MA/MS) and 12 years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline being performed, 5 years of which must be in the DoD OR, BA/BS degree, and 15 years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline being performed, 5 of which must be in the DoD OR, 20 years of directly related experience with proper certifications as described in the Functionally Aligned Job Descriptions, 8 of which must be in the DoD. Must have minimum of 2 years of progressive experience in complex military and/or electronic systems, such as power distribution systems, microprocessor-based systems, networks, and analog and digital electronics. Experience with the development, and integration of complex military and/or electronic systems; and experience in overseeing and development of hardware projects If applicable, must adhere to applicable safety requirements and protocols. #CJ
