Los Angeles | On-Site | Legal/Compliance The Knight Insurance Group is seeking a Corporate Paralegal to work with our Legal and Compliance teams supporting Property & Casualty Insurance and Reinsurance business operations. The Corporate Paralegal will facilitate day-to-day legal, compliance, and corporate governance obligations. Pay Range: $70,000- $90,000 Per Year. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire and will be dependent on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to geographic location, skill set, experience, education, credentials, and licensure when applicable. Job Description What you'll do as a Corporate Paralegal: Assist with and support corporate governance activities and taking the minutes to document committee and board meetings. Assist with regulatory audits, due diligence reviews, disputes/litigation matters, and regulatory inquiries and examinations. Maintain corporate governance calendar and corporate data to ensure accurate recordkeeping. Develop and maintain current corporate policies, procedures, and processes. Research laws and regulations applicable to insurance carrier and Holding Company Filing requirements. Compile information from internal and external sources to develop matrices and track legal and compliance matters. Work with other members of compliance and legal teams on special projects and initiatives. Draft correspondence, memoranda, and reports. Interact with internal business units and outside legal counsel. Provide administrative and contract support. Experience and Qualifications What we look for in our Corporate Paralegal: Two to five (2-5) years of experience within the legal department of a Property & Casualty Insurance Company, Law Firm having insurance entity clients, Departments of Insurance, MGA, or General Agency. Must have a Paralegal Certificate. Proficiency in using Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint, Westlaw, and ODEN. Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal. Excellent time management, analytical, and research skills Strong analytical and critical thinking skills Highly detailed, organized, and capable of prioritizing multiple tasks, meeting deadlines, and providing corporate governance, legal and regulatory compliance support with accuracy on a consistent basis.
