BPA has no innovation budget. Innovation is what we are. Position: We are currently seeking a Mechanical Assembly Technician at our South Chesterfield, VA location. Duties include but are not limited to: Assemble mechanical assemblies as instructed. Assemble various conveyor assemblies as instructed. Maintain all 5S standards. Periodic travel may be required. Perform other duties as assigned. Education/ Experience & Qualifications: A minimum of a high school diploma (or equivalent) and 1 year of experience in a mechanical environment is required. However, a combination of experience and/or education will be taken into consideration. Basic ability to interpret and understand mechanical drawings. Basic knowledge of mechanical assemblies is required. Experience in industrial automation preferred. Basic computer skills are required. A demonstrated ability to follow instructions, make decisions, solve problems, and exercise good judgment and flexibility in an effort to maintain the schedule. Close attention to detail and quality is required. Good communication, organization, and interpersonal skills are required. High awareness of client satisfaction level and client needs. Applicants must be capable of working under tight requirements, in a high-volume environment with multiple priorities. The successful candidate will have a strong work ethic and good problem-solving skills and be able to interact efficiently with others.
