Other available locations for this role: Alexandria, VA Chantilly, VA We are currently seeking a skilled AWS Cloud Engineer to join our mission operations team. As an AWS Cloud Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the operation and sustainment of multiple geospatial solutions deployed on the cloud. To be successful in this role, you should possess expertise in installing, configuring, administering, and maintaining cloud-based systems. Responsibilities: Lead systems administration activities, supporting the development and implementation of innovative systems for analytics, exploitation, production, and dissemination using cloud technologies, web, and remote desktop solutions. Execute various tasks, including building Windows instances, deploying to multiple dev, test, and operational environments, troubleshooting issues, and collaborating with internal and external development teams and enterprise components. Core Qualifications: Bachelor's degree with at least 4 years of relevant experience, or Master's degree with 2+ years of relevant experience, OR 4 years of experience in lieu of a degree. Active TS/SCI Clearance required for immediate consideration, with the ability to obtain a Polygraph post hire. DOD 8570 Certification (Security+ or equivalent or higher). Proficiency in AWS/Cloud technologies. Experience with cloud-based Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Microsoft Windows Server and Desktop Operating Systems. Strong grasp of system (hardware, software, and networking) design and architecture. Understanding of agile software development methodologies. Preferred Qualifications: Active TS/SCI Clearance with a Polygraph. Experience in deploying GIS, specifically ESRI ArcGIS systems, and familiarity with other technologies like WMS, WFS, KML. Proficiency in various AWS capabilities and services. Ability to create, maintain, and describe architecture diagrams. Demonstrated troubleshooting experience. Excellent communication skills (both virtual and in-person). Microsoft and/or AWS certifications.
