Position Summary: Indelco Plastics Corporation is looking for a multi-tasker to work in our St. Louis, MO office to make deliveries of product to customers' locations; work in the warehouse in receiving, stocking, filling orders, and general maintenance, & cleaning in warehouse; provide customer service by processing bids, orders, and returns as necessary; answer questions and concerns from customers and vendors. Driver Duties: Daily, coordinate with the Manager the delivery of products or material to the proper destination. Properly loads product and material on company delivery trucks to prevent damage during shipment, double checking against shipping papers for accuracy. Delivers and unloads product on customer's premises, collects payment if COD, and obtains signature for receipt of goods delivered. Daily inspect the condition of the delivery truck, such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil, and water. Complete Vehicle Maintenance Request form and turn it into Delivery Coordinator as required. All necessary paperwork, physical when requested and any other legal requirements to drive. Always maintain safe driving practices, noting road conditions and product load, complying with Indelco' s policies and procedures and highway rules and regulations. Special projects as assigned by Manager. Warehouse Responsibilities: Receive products by unloading vehicles, accepting deliveries, & unpacking containers. Move product from the receiving area to designated rack, shelves, or storage bin according to predetermined sequence. Assemble customer orders from stock and place orders on pallets, shelves, or move orders to the shipping department. Open crates, pallets, and other containers upon receiving for inspection of goods received, noting any discrepancies or damaged product to Warehouse Supervisor. Help with the general upkeep of the warehouse area such as sweeping floors, breaking down pallets, organizing inventory shelves, etc. Maintain the safety of building, work area, and other employees by performing all duties within established safety guidelines. Knowledge and Skills Required: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Clean driving record; Must have a chauffeur license. Delivery driving experience is a plus. Ability to communicate effectively. Accurate and detail oriented. Self-motivated, demonstrating the ability to work consistently and under minimal supervision. Ability to lift to 100 lbs. Forklift experience, preferred.
