Chief of Staff (seeking former investment bankers ideally)Confidential Investment FirmNew York, New York3 days in the office, 2 days at homePosition: Investment firm is actively seeking a Chief of Staff to the CEO. The ideal candidate is a passionate and confident individual who is well spoken, extremely organized, and an exceptional team player. This position is an extension of the company's highly entrepreneurial culture and moreover, the CEO. This role will effectively leverage senior management, allowing the CEO to focusing on the most critical business priorities. The ideal candidate for this role possesses exceptional emotional intelligence balanced with a demonstrated track record of success. This individual is highly results-oriented, possesses the ability to think strategically, build relationships with colleagues across all levels of the organization and has strong communication skills. Additionally, he or she must have an excellent judgement to properly prioritize multiple and potentially competing demands in fast-paced and rapidly growing pany Description: Investment firm with offices in San Francisco, New York, Miami and London. We have 250 employees between all offices.Key responsibilities include:Provide planning and support, including project management, analytical support, and support of strategic initiatives as required, including monitoring progress against key and often shifting prioritiesDemonstrate clear instincts for prioritization and proactively identify opportunities to add value and leverage to the CEO and senior management teamHandle the day-to-day management of business planning and operational processesManage multiple agendas and conduct daily briefings to assess delivery against multiple deadlines and deliverablesMastery of execution and project management, with accountability for meeting objectives across departmentsLead the development and execution of internal communications and logistics for key events, including accountability for organizing staff meetings, company town halls, offsites and executive travel and client agendasSupport the CEO in preparing impactful presentations for clients and internal meetingsAttend meetings with the CEO or representing the Office of the CEO and take the action to communicate key information and actions to the appropriate constituents owning all meeting follow-ups and actions.Serve as the conduit to ensure smooth communication between the CEO and leaders across the organizationProactively develop strong network and working relationships with various constituents across the company in order to accomplish tasks on behalf of the CEOWork closely with the CEO's EAs to continuously manage prioritization of schedules and meetingsSolution based orientationStrong influencing skillsAbility to travel as requiredSkills, Qualifications and ExperienceIdeally a former investment banker in the TechnologySoftwareFinTech sectorExceptional organizational skills, with ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize demandsWork with senior staff to optimize the CEO's calendar to align critical prioritiesStrong business and financial acumenExcellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to tailor messages to different audiencesAbility to build trusting relationships and interact with all levels of stakeholders internally and externallyTeam playerNegotiating skills, demonstrated collaborative and consensus building successProven influencing skills with success building relationships and the ability to achieve milestonesExceptional attention to detail with strong process management skillsAbility to work independently with a strong sense of accountability and ownership of processesDemonstrated success working under pressure in a fast-paced environment with multiple prioritiesHigh level of discretion and ability to work on confidential projectsAbility to manage deliveryexecution of a wide range of tasks and initiativesStrong working knowledge of MS OfficeTechnology andor strategy background a plusBachelor's degree from a reputable University with a 3.5 GPA or higher8+ years relevant work experienceCommunications Skills:Exceptional writing and verbal communication skills, able to prepare high impact materialsParticipates effectively in both internal and external meetingsMaturity and poise to work directly with client executivesTeam Player:Team player who can contribute to building a positive team spirit, keeps commitments, inspires the trust of others, works with integrity and ethically, and upholds firm valuesAbility to perform under pressure, amid tight deadlines; can effectively prioritize and planCollaborative across teams and levels, both internally and externallyUnderstands coaching for long term development of self and othersSalary $120-$150k base
