What the opportunity is and why you should work here: Reporting to the Chief Information Officer, this role will lead the infrastructure technology team comprising platform implementation, system/network administration, infrastructure project management, and technical support. You will be responsible for managing the cross-functional delivery of our IT Managed Services implementations, infrastructure migrations, and ongoing network and system support for all related projects, clients, and Company systems. You will lead the design of the technical architecture of the services, products, and offerings provided to customers as well as build and lead the support teams as a hands-on, roll-up the sleeves, start-up technical lead to bring each client's vision to life. The Cloud Network Engineer will be based in Owings Mills, MD and manage local and remote team members. What you will be doing day-to-day: Collaborate with the Leadership team and provide Hand On leadership to shape the delivery operations of our IT infrastructure and support business Build and lead a cross-functional team of professionals, identifying the skills and experiences needed to deliver highly productive, highly motivated, highly skilled, well aligned, truly engaging and effective professional services to our customers Design, develop, define and own the technical architecture and solution design, delivery, and support of every infrastructure project, IT service, and platform we create or maintain for Company and our clients. Working closely with the CIO to shape the innovation roadmap and inspire potential customers with technical vision, strong business acumen and insight, and high ROI strategic planning that delivers concrete business outcomes for their teams. Manage the deployment of high quality, innovative, reliable, secure, and empowering solutions, platforms, services, and support experiences Manage and deliver the network managed services, cybersecurity, system administration, stability, scalability, sustainability, support, compliance, and technical alignment of each project and customer relationship, being responsible for ensuring the deliverables and services rendered meet the performance, security, business requirements, and user experience goals of the company and its clients Provide guidance, professional development, and mentorship to the Managed Services, Cybersecurity, Network/System Administration, Project Delivery, and Helpdesk Support teams Ensure the technical environment, vendor selection/management/alignment, and employees and contractors under direction will support high quality and high value execution of all operations for our company and our customers and lead others with constantly evolving subject matter expertise and knowledge of best practices, emerging technologies, security, system architecture, and software development. Represent the company at industry events, conferences and publications to drive the technical innovation agenda and increase the profile of the company within the IT industry. What kind of person will you be: Hands-on start-up technical leader and problem solver with a love for defining and creating secure, stable, scalable, compliant networks and great enterprise infrastructure solutions and cybersecurity platforms. Great communicator and leader being able to interpret, dissect and relay key information, business requirements, and technical details in an intuitive and understandable way Passion for developing others and supporting their team Ability to solve problems and work effectively under pressure A good collaborator, with an open, approachable style Strong interest in technology trends and keeps up to date with the latest developments Thrive on freedom and responsibility with a highly committed work ethic and strong executive presence A genuine interest in how we can use technology to improve people's lives What skills and experience we need you to have: 5 years or more leading technical teams in developing high performance, large-scale networks, systems, and cybersecurity solutions throughout the product lifecycle, preferably in a financial services, energy, renewables, media, or manufacturing environment, but with the business acumen to work across industries comfortably. Strong communication skills, well-organized team player, ability to inspire and lead others and drive projects to executional excellence Extensive full stack technical knowledge with an unparalleled understanding of cloud and on premise enterprise IT networks, systems, platforms, and processes Experience leading teams on Infrastructure, Network, Server/Desktop, SASE, SOAR, SIEM, ZTN, Entra/Azure/AD, and System Administration through the entire customer lifecycle from Design to Implementation/Development to Support/Maintenance. Strong grasp of enterprise IT, network infrastructure, and support A bachelor's degree in a related field such as Computer Science, Engineering, Business or other Science related subject. Master's degree a plus. Experience working with RMMs (InTune, Ninja, Kaseya, Atera, etc), Cybersecurity platforms (Microsoft Defender, Sophos, Duo, Huntress, Splunk, Darktrace, etc), Ticketing Systems (FreshService, ConnectWise, Atera, NinjaOne, Microsoft Customer Service, etc), Cloud Telephony (Teams, Dialpad, Zoom, etc), Servers (Windows Server, SQLServer, AD, etc), Cloud Infrastructure (EntraID, Microsoft 365, Todyl, Google Workplace, Cisco Meraki, Cloudflare, etc), Enterprise Software( , Microsoft Dynamics, Microsoft Power Platform, Power Apps, Power Pages, etc), Networks (Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet, Palo Alto, etc), and other related IT and cybersecurity infrastructure Working knowledge of the FINRA/SEC regulatory requirements for cybersecurity and IT, knowledge of HIPAA a plus.
