Your Responsibilities: As a vital member of our team, you will: - Conduct detailed quantity take-offs and develop cost estimates at every design stagefrom initial concepts to finalized plans. - Verify quantities and bid comparatives through on-screen takeoffs and engage with subcontractors to ensure accuracy. - Collaborate with engineers, investors, and agency representatives in essential project meetings. - Maintain and update an extensive database of competitive pricing from contractors and suppliers to ensure your estimates are robust. - Forge strong relationships with architects and engineers as you clarify project scopes and deliver clear, precise estimates. - Conduct thorough cost reconciliations between estimates, providing elucidation as needed. Your Qualifications: - Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit is a must. - A minimum of 3 years of hands-on estimating experience within Project Cost Management. - Expertise in Excel for comprehensive cost accounting and reporting. - Experience with project budgets ranging from $1 million to $200 million. - Knowledge of takeoffs as references without the need for drawings. - Previous experience in Civil and Structural estimating, with bonus points for Architectural experience. - Familiarity with the stages of design is essential, including feasibility studies, master planning, value engineering, cost and bid analysis, and change orders.
