Maintenance Technician II Job Summary: The Maintenance Technician II is an experienced professional responsible for advanced maintenance and repair tasks in industrial settings. This role requires in-depth knowledge and expertise in electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems, with the ability to perform complex troubleshooting and repairs. Key Responsibilities: Advanced Maintenance: Perform in-depth maintenance and repair of industrial building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems. Ensure all systems are functioning optimally and efficiently. Specialized Repairs: Use expertise in electrical, plumbing, or HVAC trades to diagnose and repair complex issues. This includes replacing lighting systems, ballast, fixtures, and maintaining commercial plumbing systems. Building Integrity: Oversee the repair, prepping, and painting of drywall, as well as the adjustment and replacement of closures, locks, hinges, and handles on commercial steel door systems. Preventative Maintenance: Conduct regular inspections and preventative maintenance to extend the life of equipment and prevent unexpected breakdowns. Safety and Compliance: Adhere to all safety guidelines and regulations, ensuring that all work is performed in a safe and efficient manner. Material Management: Handle materials safely, including loading and unloading materials up to 40 lbs. Working at Heights: Safely operate lifts and work on ladders at heights of up to 60 feet. Qualifications: Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical, plumbing, or HVAC trades, with a preference for candidates holding a journeyman license. Strong technical skills and the ability to perform advanced troubleshooting and repairs. Physical ability to perform heavy manual labor and work at heights. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent. Relevant certifications in electrical, plumbing, or HVAC systems are required. Journeyman license is preferred.
