Position Name Quality Assurance Supervisor Position Location Irvine, CA Exempt/ Non-Exempt Exempt Bonus Eligibility MIP Position Description: The Quality Assurance Supervisor leads initiatives to improve product quality and business productivity throughout the organization. Primary responsibilities include supervision of the site quality assurance team, identifying, prioritizing, and implementing improvement opportunities to support business and customer requirements, overseeing software development testing, and assuring compliance to ISO 9001:2015 requirements. General Duties and Responsibilities of the Quality Assurance Manager: Collaborate across all departments to create a culture of quality and continuous improvement Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly KPI reports associated with operational performance and product quality Prepare, schedule, and conduct internal audits to assess conformance to ISO 9001 Develop processes to properly determine nonconformance root causes and implementation of effective corrective/preventive actions Develop and communicate quality control training Develop and implement solutions to improve product quality and operational efficiency in support of business strategic objectives Interface with internal and external customers on quality related issues Ensure the Quality Department is properly staffed and trained Oversee processing and tracking of Return Merchandise Authorizations (RMAs) Manage software development testing and reporting Perform other related duties and serve on special projects as assigned Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Minimum 5 years' experience in technical product quality assurance Minimum 5 years' experience with the ISO 9000 family of quality management systems Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience Ability to work productively in cross functional teams in both leadership and support positions Thorough knowledge of logistics and electronic assembly operations Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Experiences in Quality Management Systems, processes, and reporting Knowledge and experience in technical aspects of software testing Experience in training company personnel on quality procedures and requirements Ability to work under high pressure situations and deadlines Must be able to simultaneously manage several objectives and reassign priorities as needed Ability to inspire, motivate and influence diverse teams Education and/or Experience: Bachelor's degree in engineering or other technical discipline ISO Lead Auditor training preferred Quality Engineer Certification (CQE) preferred IPC-A-600 Training Certificate (CIT) preferred Experience in electronics is preferred Reports To: Irvine Director of Operations Physical Job Requirements: Sitting: Must be able to sit for a minimum of 4 hours Walking: Throughout the facility on a continuous basis Lifting/Carrying: Must be able to lift 35 lbs. Climbing: Must be able to climb stairs and ladders Vision: Corrected 20/20 vision required Talking/Hearing: Must be able to communicate effectively via telephone and video conference Environment: Warehouse environment, occasionally hot or cold temperatures, moderate noise level, occasional dust, chemical odors Accommodation: Candidates for the position should be able to perform essential job duties as described above with or without accommodation.
