What you will do in this role The Quality Manager will reside within the Manufacturing team and will have primary responsibility over the Atticus Quality Management System (QMS) as well as play a key role in the toll manufacturing process. The individual will be responsible for implementing, maintaining, and improving the Atticus quality program as well as serve as the primary technical liaison between Atticus and our toll manufacturing partners for all aspects related to product formulation and packaging. The Quality Manager will report directly to the Director, Manufacturing. Responsibilities Quality - Atticus Quality Management System (QMS) Design, implement, maintain, and improve QMS via cloud-based Quality software Overall responsibility for Nonconformance/Corrective & Preventive Action (CAPA) program, field and efficacy complaint investigation and associated action plan/s Organize and present quality related incidents and associated resolution to Director, Manufacturing monthly as well as EVP, Operations on a quarterly basis Lead Continuous Improvement activities both internally and externally Operational Excellence KPI tracking, reporting and improvement Assist with formulation/manufacturing process improvement Develop, maintain and periodically review quality SOPs and associated documentation as it relates to the Atticus QMS Production: Technical point of contact for formulations and analytical/QC related questions & issues that arise in production Provide "Boots on the ground" support at toll manufactures to ensure product quality and compliance Production responsibilities: Collaborate with Formulation Development to design and validate rework protocols for off spec and slow-moving inventory With support from Formulation Development, produce and maintain product manufacturing manuals (CSF compliance) and formulation specifications Input and maintain critical to quality manufacturing information and documentation in FileMaker Pro database Provide tolling partners analytical & QC methods as well as, analytical standards Approve and activate bills of material in Microsoft Dynamics365 (ERP System) - bulk (formulation) and finished good (packaging) Technology transfer support - strategic & deliberate: Collaborate with Formulation Development, Production & Commercialization teams to scale all new products/formulations in the Atticus portfolio Collaborate with Production and Formulation Development groups to ensure the smooth transition of formulations from one toller to another Where warranted, assist Formulation Development with 3-phased manufacturing scale up: lab í¨ pilot í¨ commercial production Formal and informal quality auditing - Toller and Supplier: Develop and implement quality auditing program with input and support from Sourcing & Procurement and Packaging Engineering Develop SOPs and training protocol to support the auditing program Develop audit schedule in accordance with toller/supplier performance and industry benchmarks Drive process improvement as it relates to contract manufacturing relationships, production execution & quality initiatives Develops and maintains production records and prepares management reports as required and/or requested Assists in optimizing 3rd party toll manufacturing portfolio to ensure products are manufactured in a cost effective, safe and compliant manner Required Skills/Qualifications Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university in business, supply chain management, technical discipline or equivalent focus required, advanced degree preferred Five to ten years related manufacturing/quality experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience, preferably in agriculture or chemical field Excellent interpersonal skills and proactive communication skills. Ability to network within the organization as well as with external parties Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills Exceeds customer quality and service expectations through attention to detail Demonstrates leadership skills in driving change and improving the integrity of applicable processes and systems Ability to work effectively across diverse and cross-functional teams, under critical timelines and while balancing the needs of internal and external customers Intermediate level Microsoft Office skills Why Atticus?
