YOUR DAY TO DAY : We have an immediate opening for a skilled and proactive PC/LAN Specialist 2 to join our IT team and provide first-level support to our end-users. As a key part of the IT support structure, the successful candidate will ensure the stability of the company's computer systems, troubleshoot hardware and software issues, and assist with configuring and optimizing systems. This role requires strong problem-solving abilities, effective communication, and the ability to work both independently and within a team environment. ** MUST BE A US CITIZEN ** YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR : Provide first-level support and engagement for end users. Troubleshoot, triage, and resolve hardware and software issues for desktop and laptop computers. Configure, upgrade, and patch hardware and software systems, including Windows and Linux environments. Support the company's security protocols and enforce security policies. Maintain an inventory of computer parts and log all service and repair activities. Collaborate with team members to resolve customer issues and ensure proper functionality of personal computers and peripherals. Perform system setups for new employees and assist in training users where needed. Manage and track issues using the Fresh Service ticketing system or similar platforms. Once or twice weekly travel between DFW-area CPI locations. YOU ARE THE RIGHT PERSON FOR THIS JOB IF YOU HAVE : Minimum 3 years of experience troubleshooting hardware issues, including desktops and laptops. Proven experience with installation, configuration, security patching, and troubleshooting of MS Windows OS Prior experience supporting Windows 10 & 11, Linux environment, VMware hosts and virtual machines . Thorough understanding of Microsoft Office and Windows operating systems. Possess A+ and Network+ certifications preferred; successful course completion required. Experience in supporting and troubleshooting LAN and WLAN environments. Experience using a ticketing system to track issues. Strong communication, coordination, and organizational skills. Must be a U.S. Citizen Must have reliable transportation to support weekly travel between DFW area office locations. PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: Associate degree in Computer Science or related technical training. Experience with Intune, MECM/SCCM , and other Microsoft technologies. 3+ years of system administration experience with endpoint/mobile operating systems including but not limited to Windows 7, 10, 11, iOS, OSX, and Android. Knowledge of PLM applications , such as JD Edwards and Product Center. Certifications such as CCNA or ACNT and familiarity with Cisco and Aruba networking technologies. Ability to support various client/server applications .
