PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION The Nuclear Fuels & Methods Engineer is responsible for advanced technical problem solving in support of nuclear plant operations. This role involves the creation and validation of reactor neutronics models for PWR and BWR reactors, as well as the development and maintenance of processes and procedures for vendor-independent methods. Provide in-depth technical expertise to develop, manage and implement engineering analysis, activities, and programs. Identify and resolve equipment and system problems by providing technical expertise and consultation. Manage engineering issues and perform engineering tasks applying engineering principles. Ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of work and recommend new concepts and techniques to improve performance, simplify operations, and reduce costs. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS for Nuclear Fuels & Methods Engineer B.S. in Engineering and 2+ years Nuclear or related engineering experience for Mid-level Engineer. B.S. in Engineering or Licensed Professional Engineer and 5+ years engineering experience for Senior Engineer. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS CASMO/SIMULATE experience Core Design experience Familiarity with coding/programming 1 year in the Fuels Engineer IIIA Classification
