Salary: $36.35 - $60.20 Hourly Location : Roosevelt, WA 99356 Job Type: Full-Time Job Number: LFG24-2 Department: Human Resources Opening Date: 10/16/2024 Description Summary Safely perform supervised and unsupervised operation and maintenance tasks associated with the Klickitat PUD Renewable Natural Gas Project. Gas processing equipment includes blowers, compressors, dehydration units, chemical, and thermal processes that remove contaminates from the landfill gas to produce pipeline-spec gas for injection into the Northwest Interstate Pipeline. Landfill Gas O&M Tech I or II operates in conjunction with and may direct work of Landfill Gas Operations and Maintenance Tech I or Trainees on shift and/or temporary workers. May be required to obtain qualification to operate idled gas turbine project. Examples of Duties Job Responsibilities and Functions: Positive attitude, strong work ethic and Customer-Focused Utility Values Treat all people with respect at all times Maintain individual qualifications for the operation of the RNG Project. Acquire and maintain DOT Pipeline Operator Qualifications Assume responsibility for safe operation of RNG plant and pipeline during Work safely at all times in IAW KPUD, State and Federal requirements Provide maintenance, troubleshooting, and training as necessary on all plant systems including gas cleaning Participate in maintenance activities and planned shutdowns Provide emergency shift coverage as necessary Input data and use the site Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to create and document work orders and maintain spare parts inventory tracking for all plant systems. Interface with landfill site personnel to coordinate operation of gas cleaning system and flare equipment and to maximize gas production. Maintain positive relations with internal and external customers and regulatory agencies Contribute to the preparation of Station production and maintenance reports. Read and interpret technical drawings, vendor manuals, and work procedures Be able to communicate clearly in all forms, oral, visual, written and aural modes whether face-face or through electronic means. Other duties as assigned that may include landfill gas field scope of work Typical Qualifications Qualifications and Experience Requirements: Good written and verbal communication skills. High School Diploma or Equivalent 3 years relevant natural gas processing, power plant or manufacturing experience. 5 years for RNG Tech II Supplemental Information Working Conditions and Other Requirements •Rotating shift work will be required. This will include working assigned holidays and weekends as per established rotation •Shift schedule may include built-in overtime. Additional overtime may be required for maintenance, break-downs and PTO coverage. Work in areas of limited access and egress. Ability to scale and work off ladders and platforms accessing equipment via vertical rung-type, cage-enclosed ladders. Lifting and carrying up to 60 lbs. over uneven terrain. Exposure to noise from power plant and construction equipment. Forklift Certification Valid Washington State Drivers License. Current First Aid/CPR Card or must obtain during the first 6 months of employment Operate on site located in Roosevelt, WA. Compliance with mandatory DOT initial and random drug testing as a condition of employment. Failure to test will be considered job abandonment Successfully complete all assigned training tasks. Some training outside of Klickitat County may be required.
