Job Title: Systems Administrator Department: IT/IS Reports to: IS Manager Location: Bremerton (3 days), Tacoma (1 day) on average FLSA: Non-Exempt/Hourly Shift: Days Pay: $30.00 - $38.00 DOE Position Summary: Install, configure, and support an organization's local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN), and information systems. Maintain hardware, software, and applications. Participate in information system analysis, requirements planning, and implementation. Monitor systems to ensure availability to all system users and perform necessary maintenance to support availability. May plan, coordinate, and implement network security measures in collaboration with the Senior Network Administrator and IS Manager. Essential Functions: The essential functions include, but are not limited to, the following: Provides Help Desk support to end user. Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware, software, or other network and system problems, and replace defective components when necessary. Maintain and administer computer networks and related computing environments including computer hardware, systems software, applications software, and all configurations. Recommend and implement changes to improve systems and network configurations and determine hardware or software requirements related to such changes. Estimate time and materials needed to complete projects. Participate in technology upgrade or expansion projects, including installation of hardware and software and integration testing. Prepare detailed network specifications, including diagrams, charts, equipment configurations, and recommended technologies. Maintain backup / disaster recovery plans and implement when necessary. Research new technologies by attending seminars, reading trade articles, or taking classes, and implement or recommend the implementation of new technologies. Analyze and define security requirements for local and wide area networks. Update network configurations by routinely reviewing bulletins and notifications for security information. Recertify application, platform, and server security periodically. Provide technical advice on access control, security models and security awareness training. Implement, monitor, and troubleshoot internal information technology security policies, application security, access control and corporate data safeguards. Required Skills: Operations Analysis - Analyzing needs and product requirements to create a design. Security Evaluation - Analyzing current security policies and making suggestions for improvements while Identifying threats and working to create steps to defend against them. MS Product knowledge- O365, Windows 10/Server, Exchange, Active Directory, Azure, SharePoint Online, etc. Must be willing to divide time between Bremerton and Tacoma locations, based on business needs Experience and Education Required: Bachelor's Degree in IT/IS OR 2 plus years of Technical Education 1-3 years relevant experience in a similar size company in an IT Systems Administrator role Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred Physical Requirements: Use of computer, telephones, and other office equipment, reading, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening, and hearing ability and visual acuity.
