Envoy Global has an opening within our charismatic and driven Finance Team, for a Senior Accountant to join us on a full time, permanent basis. Within the role for Senior Accountant, we are looking for candidates with a creative spirit to manage and oversee the daily activities for our U.S. law firm affiliates. The primary areas of focus for our Senior Accountant will be administering accounting function, maintaining financial reporting activities and analysing both budgeting/operational reporting. As our Senior Accountant you will be required to: Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to, general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, taxes, banking, and audit Manage the monthly financial close process, including ensuring all revenue and expenses are properly recorded on an accrual basis, entering journal entries (including intercompany journal entries), account balance reconciliations and financial statements preparation Coordinate and work closely with Envoy Global accounting and FP&A teams on related transactions, analysis, financial reporting, and projects Conduct weekly/monthly cash projections and share with broader team and management Manage year-end financial audit activities for the law firm Research and conclude on GAAP technical issues as they arise Manage banking transactions including receipts and disbursements; manage banking system Manage the compilation of information for preparation of tax returns and work with third party tax preparers Establish and enforce proper accounting policies, internal controls, and procedures Conduct regular account analysis and manage ad hoc requests Analyze financial data and create reports for management, stakeholders, and external parties Identify, coordinate, and implement process improvements, including financial system upgrades or changes Assist in any domestic and global acquisitions integration as it relates to the law firm To apply for this role, you should possess the following skills, experience and qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance (or a related field) required; Certified Public Accounting preferred 3-5 years of experience working in a fast-paced corporate environment; Public accounting experience highly preferred Experience with Quickbooks and other ERP systems Experience with banking and payroll related items including journal entries, payroll accruals, and analysis Audit and tax preparation experience (working with 3rd party provider) Advanced level MS Excel necessary Working knowledge of intercompany accounting and consolidations Previous exposure to global accounting is preferred Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and internal controls/Sarbanes Oxley Strong communication skills coupled with the ability to prepare and present information and recommendations to a broad and diverse audience Respectful, courteous demeanor, and a team focus Excellent organizational, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills Strong analytical skills and numerical aptitude Ability to identify areas and initiatives for the business with process improvement identification and implementation Team player and ability to work effectively in cross-functional team Ability to work independently and under-pressure to meet strict deadlines This is a brilliant opportunity to join a dedicated and collaborative team that works together to make a difference!
