Job Description MAJOR FUNCTION: As a senior integration architect, you will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining interface solutions that enable seamless data exchange between various healthcare systems and applications. This position will require knowledge of frameworks and standards including HL7 v2, HL7 v3, FHIR, EDI, XML, X12, TCPIP and FTP protocols. You will work closely with clients, stakeholders, analysts, developers, and testers to understand the business requirements, data models, workflows, and standards of the healthcare domain. You will also provide technical leadership, guidance, and support to the interface development team and ensure the quality and performance of the interface solutions. QUALIFICATIONS: Education & Experience: •Bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, information systems, engineering, or related field. •At least 5 years of experience in interface development and data integration for healthcare systems and applications. •Expert knowledge of HL7 standards and protocols, such as FHIR, CDA, CCD, and EDI. •Proficient in interface development tools and languages, such as Java, JavaScript, XML, JSON, SQL, and XSLT. •Experience with interface engine, specifically Oracle OPEN Link. •Strong understanding of healthcare data models, workflows, and terminologies, such as SNOMED, LOINC, ICD, and CPT. •Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills. •Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. •Certification in HL7 or interface development is a plus. •Proficient with Microsoft office applications. •Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. •Experience in managing IS related projects required. •Strong expertise in multiple healthcare applications. Certification/ Licensure: •N/A Physical Requirements Place an N, O, F or C in the boxes below N: Never O: Occasionally (0%) F: Frequently (20%-80%) C: Constantly >80%) Lifting 0lbs O Standing O Sitting C Lifting 20-50lbs O Climbing N Kneeling O Lifting>50lbs N Crouching O Reaching O Carrying O Hearing C Walking O Pushing O Talking F Vision C Environmental Conditions Noise O Varied Temperatures O Cleaning Agents O Noxious odors N Patient Exposure O Operative Equipment O Position Responsibilities •Analyze, design, develop, test, and deploy interface solutions using HL7 standards and protocols, such as FHIR, CDA, CCD, and EDI. •Collaborate with clients, stakeholders, analysts, developers, and testers to gather and document interface requirements, specifications, and test cases. •Design and implement interface architectures, data mappings, transformations, validations, and error handling mechanisms. •Configure, monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize interface engines. •Ensure compliance with security, privacy, and regulatory requirements, such as HIPAA, GDPR, and HITECH. •Understands the business use of clinical and non-clinical applications and works with the Application teams to help resolve data integration issues related to those systems. •Provide technical leadership, guidance, and support to the interface development team and mentor junior developers. •Research and evaluate new technologies, tools, and best practices for interface development and data exchange. •Prepare and maintain interface documentation, such as design documents, user manuals, and technical reports. •Works with vendors to ensure deliverables are met on time, on budget and in scope •Maintains Knowledge Base and/or Application Inventory on new applications and troubleshooting procedures. •Troubleshoot and resolve issues. •Responsible for providing excellent customer service •Responsible for properly utilizing the customer service software and adhering to all policies and procedures related to the use of the software •Provides 24 x 7 on-call support acting as gatekeeper for triage of tickets including in depth notes. •Adheres to IS Business Practices
