Goodwill Industries of Mid-Michigan is looking for a Motivated and Positive individual to fill a Full-Time, CDL Class A semi, Union Truck Driver position at our Flint Warehouse at 501 S. Averill. The starting union wage $19.60 an hour. Raises to be annually based on a negotiated contract. Join our Team today! LOCAL driving with these Day to Day Job Responsibilities: Operating vehicles and other assigned equipment in a safe and responsible manner. Making daily check of vehicle per DOT standards and complete proper paperwork for inspection. Assist in loading and unloading materials in a proper safe and careful manner at the plant or outlying store and ADC locations. Placement of materials when unloading into designated container and/or department. Maintaining and use of assigned cellular phone according to company guidelines (reporting to dispatcher/supervisor). Reporting all unsafe conditions observed. Greeting all donors in a friendly, courteous manner and provide receipts as needed. Following route in designated order and reporting of any changes due to unforeseen circumstances. High school diploma helpful. Reading, writing and math skills are required. Vocational Training - helpful. Previous Training - required. Must have valid Michigan Commercial Driver's License with all endorsements required for vehicles assigned to drive. Must be able to pass a Clearinghouse License reference check. Good driving record with no more than four points per Michigan moving violation system. Ability to meet the physical demands of the job. Ability to pass drug/alcohol test.
