To learn more about our company and the other supply chain companies of Ahold Delhaize USA, visit Position Summary: In partnership with the Regional Operational Leader and ADUSA Safety Director, provide direction and support to site safety managers in an assigned region in an effort to manage environmental health and safety standards and practices including the identification, elimination and control of hazardous conditions. This position will help to leverage best practices and standards across the various campuses and work strategically with their operational partners to identify areas of high risk and opportunity to drive the overall safety strategy and create a sustainable safety culture. Essential Functions : Environmental Health and Safety Excellence Provide oversight and direction to site safety managers to ensure a consistent strategic alignment with day-to-day safety activities at the sites. Partner with regional/network leadership and support site safety managers by leading the development of safety policies, programs and processes that leverage best practices across the distribution and transportation network. Serve as member of the regional leadership team ensuring the value of safety is inserted in all operational decision making. Promote safety culture by influencing operational leaders during forward looking strategic and budgetary conversations. Facilitate the consistent use of safety and injury data to proactively develop strategies for improvement with special attention to all SIF-related data. Support site safety managers in conducting SIF investigations and ensuring these are completed correctly and consistently. Hold site safety managers and leadership teams accountable to tracking and completing corrective actions as needed. Serve as escalation point for serious or complex safety issues at site and partner with other regional safety leads to determine a consistent approach for similar or related safety concerns. Engage and interface with all external agency interactions to include inspections, audits, responses, and associated follow-ups. Stay informed on local, state, and federal regulations that impact facilities including but not limited to OSHA, ANSI, DOT, EPA, DEEP, etc. and ensure site safety managers are receiving necessary updates. Partner closely with ADUSA Services environmental team to ensure a consistent creation and implementation of environmental programs, plans, procedures (including but not limited to SPCC, SWPPP, Hazardous Waste, PSM/RMP, Local/state programs) across the assigned sites and own compliance of each site within the assigned region. Must visit all sites within assigned region on a regular cadence as well as react to site specific regulatory, inclement weather, or incident related issues) Must be able to work needed schedule to perform assigned duties Ability to work in a -5 degree to 90-degree Fahrenheit environment (temperature varies within each department) for long periods of time Work in a warehouse environment with varying conditions (i.e. cool temperatures, concrete floors, powered industrial trucks) Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree, or equivalent combination of experience and or specialized certification in safety.
