Job Summary: Van Drivers coordinate order selection, order packing and shipment, providing the store team with timely information as needed. Load / unload van deliveries as directed, perform returns as per standards. Van Driver will deliver marine equipment and accessories to our wholesale customers on a multi-stop, time sensitive route. You will be operating a light duty vehicle, delivering product, and insuring great Customer service. We are Boaters serving Boaters with a mission of Boaters Serving Boaters! Duties/Responsibilities: Deliver excellent customer experience with every interaction Execute pick, pack, and ship to meet SLAs (service level agreement) for product fulfillment Use proper methods for pulling and moving product to shipping processing location Process customer returns with in SLAs Identify and escalate any bottlenecks impeding fulfillment to the Manager Drive responsibly to represent the company and brand Load vehicle to support routing sequence Utilize routing apps and schedule to deliver product in an efficient and timely manner Provide quality delivery practices for location and condition of product to customer Interact with customers during deliveries and inform them of upcoming events Ask if there is anything else they need Make other product deliveries as needed by store Keep vehicles neat, clean, and organized Vehicles should be clean and operating safely report any issues, damage or malfunctions to your Manager Keep vehicles properly fueled and stored Available to work a flexible schedule based on business needs, including nights, weekends and some holidays. Perform other job-related duties as assigned Required Skills/Abilities: Excellent verbal communication skills Excellent active listening skills Excellent sales and customer service skills Extensive knowledge of the merchandise sold Ability to anticipate customers' needs Ability to recommend merchandise to customers Ability to operate or to quickly learn the store's point-of-sale system Must maintain a valid drivers license and satisfactory driving record Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent preferred Previous boating and/or retail experience preferred Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods of standing and walking throughout the retail space Prolonged periods of sitting while driving Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds to shoulder height unassisted.
