You will be leading a passionate & talented Sales team to drive for service excellence and the financial success of The Langham, Boston, by achieving market share, through budgeted short and long term sales revenue goals while in alignment with the culture and values of Langham Hospitality Group.Key Responsibilities:Contribute to the development of sales initiatives recommending, implementing and monitoring appropriate local activity to achieve required revenue results.Assist DORM with forecasts and provide accurate weekly and monthly group forecasts.Develop and maintain Langham best practices to ensure customer account objectives are defined and appropriate sales activities are implemented.Assist sales team members in creating account development plans, detailing objectives, timescales and sales methods to support the defined account strategies. Actions to include account solicitation, lead qualification, client entertaining, trade shows, sales calls local in key feeder markets.Liaise with ALHI and GSO, GSA's, GBCVB, specifying the account's contribution to the business' revenue targets and agreed upon activities.Develop customer accounts to increase marketcustomer share, all revenue streams - locally, nationally and globally.Responsible for the team utilizing Delphi Sales and Catering system to the fullest and that all team members are completing all the tasks on a day to day basis.Responsible for developing team members to reach their full potential in order that they may be able to take on larger levels of responsibility Monitor and maintain competitor set activity including: Financial performance, SWOT analysis, key accountsmarket share, and third party programs.Provide regular and timely feedback to group team members regarding performance.Select, train, coach and develop colleagues to enhance their performance to meet current and future needs of the sales departmentPlan, organize and use a systematic approach to accomplish duties, while managing time and resources effectively.Must be forward thinking; develop contingency plans when necessary.Be self-reliant, possess the ability to manage team, work with minimal control and direction, act on own initiative when appropriate.Present powerful arguments to persuade others.Additional responsibilities andor special assignments may be required at the request of hotel management.Key Result Areas:Financial goals.Achieve Rooms Budget.Plan effective strategies to achieve hotel budget.Drive efforts outlined in Sales & Marketing Plan.Ensure all contracts for corporate, travel industry, MICE, Leisure Group, long stay bookings withstand contractual conditions.Proper distribution of bookings, contracts, addendums, RFPs, and accurate information pertaining to groupsaccounts.Qualifications:Undergraduate degree from a college or university in relevant discipline.At least 2 years experience director level, in addition to one of the following areas: group sales, luxury hotel sales, hotel revenue managementdistribution.Well organized and a good planner with an ability to work under pressure..Prompt and systematic decision making skills.Good interpersonal and presentation skills for working with third party partners and the internal team members.Use written (verbalvisual) sources of information, to conduct site inspections, qualify business leads, read reports, procedural documentation, electronic systems, and references materials.Ability to Stand, sit, reach, grasp, liftcarry, walk, climb, kneel, squat, bend, pushpull.Proficient in Cvent, Delphi fdc, Word, Excel, Meeting Broker, Cendyne, Outlook, Teams, SEPLegally authorized to work in the United StatesFor more information about the property, please visit:
