Production Planner

Masis Professional Group is assisting our client in searching for a Production Planner in East Longmeadow MA. Position is temporary, long-term for up to 6+ months. Salary: Up to $35 per hour based on experienceSchedule: Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pmDuties and ResponsibilitiesCoordinates production scheduling and material flow functions to ensure timely delivery to support internalexternal customer requirements.Maintains accuracy of planning systems and schedules to ensure accuracy of timely ordering, manufacturing and delivery of components. Prepares and issues regular and timely production reports to manufacturing.Aligns production schedules and equipment capacity to maximize efficiency and profitability.Prepares excess and obsolete materials report to support reviews for substitution and brings forward substitution options for consideration and approval by management.Identifies and reconciles physical and systematic inventory discrepancies through analysis and investigation of Cycle Counts and Failed Goods Movements, posting job tickets and unreported quality or waste issues.Responsible for the generation and issuance of raw material requirements to suppliers.Responsible for delivery of standards of performance measurements within scope of responsibility.Experience and Educational RequirementsExperience in production planning in a manufacturing environment2-Year Business Degree or equivalent work experienceSAP System knowledge and understanding of advanced planning systems. Computer proficiency, Microsoft Office preferredExcellent time management, organizational, and mathematical ability. Strong interpersonal skills Exceptional ability to react quickly and appropriately in an often fast-paced dynamic environment required.
